SPY is a caring community for children where belonging matters. Our goal is to ensure all children have an opportunity to grow and thrive and we provide the resources and support needed to help your child find success. The program is free to attend. While at SPY your child will be cared for by positive, nurturing adults and will enjoy academic activities, fun and unique experiences and make forever friends. Being a part of the SPY family is an experience your child will never forget.
About UsCertified teachers are hired to lead academic stations and educational activities. This ensures we are offering quality lessons that match what your child is learning at school. Field trips are as much educational as they are entertaining. We make learning fun and help children succeed.
One of SPY’s strongest components is the supportive relationships formed while at SPY. The guidance of caring adult role models and emphasis on positive character traits fosters a family-like atmosphere where children feel safe to navigate their emotions and learn to make positive choices. Children grow and thrive where they feel accepted and belong.
Confidence soars at SPY as children realize what they can achieve. Our focus on helping kids build self-esteem through goal setting, incentives, and rewards and by providing them with opportunities to learn new skills, try new things, and succeed, helps children develop the self-confidence they need to pursue their goals and aspirations.
SPY (Supportive Partnerships for Youth) is an enrichment experience for children entering 1st-6th grades. Our program runs for 6 weeks during the summer months and on various vacation days throughout the school year. Children are referred to the program by their school counselor, but parents can contact us directly if they feel their child will benefit from the program. Academic stations fill our mornings and afternoons are scheduled with off-site trips, special guest visitors, and fun! SPY campers also enjoy weekly visits to the pool and the library. Breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack are provided and so is transportation for students in the Mount Holly area. The only thing your child needs to bring to SPY is a water bottle and a smile!
Contact UsStudents are identified and referred to SPY by their elementary school counselor. Parents may also contact SPY directly to see if our program would benefit their child. Enrollment begins in April and our year-round experience begins with summer camp in June. During the application process SPY will ask for information about your child’s interests and experiences as well as their challenges and struggles. We ask that you provide as much information as possible so that our staff can truly understand your child and their needs.
Contact UsSPY’s mission is to help children learn and grow academically, socially, and emotionally. We measure our success through pre and post camp testing and year after year over 80% of our campers maintain or improve their reading and math scores and nearly 100% find social emotional growth. Coming to SPY every day is how your child will find success and campers who come consistently will be invited to return to SPY the following year. We love getting to know our parents and they are important members of the SPY family.
